Targeting is one of the most important foundation behaviours.These telescoping targets are an incredibly useful training tool for larger animals. For horses they can be used on the ground or in the saddle, for teaching a touch/follow with the nose (e.g. for float loading, carrot stretches, free-jumping, first ridden work or liberty lunging). It can also be used for targeting body parts such as the cannon bone (for spanish walk / jambette / 'panther walk') or the hip (for mounting block, travers, haunches in).
The possibilities are endless.
